Last month was my last wedding for a looonggg time!  It ended on a good note( but TIRED note)-at the two day wedding extravaganza.  It's been almost a year in the making.  Friday night was the ceremony with a small dinner reception afterwards at a mexican restaurant..super casual and for only close family and friends.

after little sleep, I woke up Saturday morning to do it all over again!  Spent a full 8 hours working in the sun to set up the brides grandparents backyard, then another 8 hours after that once the guests started showing up. I. was.exhausted.  To say the least.  But, it turned out great and the bride was happy so my job was done.

Then another night with very little sleep, because a few hours after I got home from the wedding, I had to wake up to get to s3! We were so excited about it & couldn't believe how many subarus showed up all because of Magno's caravan idea....there were 70 cars total and it was SO cool to see all of them driving through OC together!  The show had even more, it was a fun day!
in other news, I outgrew my baking cabinet and had to upgrade to a baking shelf...I really dont have the space for it in my small and odd layout kitchen, but I knew I needed more space and to see it all at once otherwise It'd be so unorganized that I'd never use it.
We took our first trip to the beach this summer...and probably our last!  We just aren't beach people.  Sitting at the beach with little internet access and getting dirty just isn't our cup of tea.
This year for 4th of july we were on our own! We usually do something with family, but mine was out of town on vacation & magnos was preparing to go out of town on vacation...so we spent the day with our next door neighbor doing all american type of stuff! We went to the circle and ate burgers at a diner, did some antuique shopping, and had snowcones and soda for dessert.

Heres two of my favorite cakes from recently..both were for 1 year olds but so cute none the less!

I combined two of my favorite things to make rice krispy oreo treats on a rainy day..it was one of my only days off lately and besides baking I spent it doing absolutely nothing!
I had my friend over for dinner for what I'm assuming will be the last time until summer is over...it gets too hot in this place to cook or entertain=(
I was pretty worn out from work so me and magno took a night after dinner to walk to the circle and try the new popsicle store then go up to the top of chapman and see the sunset

Speaking of work, I hosted the first ever private party at the store!  It went really well and the girls all had a lot of fun, and of course now im jealous that I didn't have MY 25th birthday there!

& lastly I will leave with one professional photo of the bride and groom from my last wedding.  I am going to miss wedding planning but the stress and chaos of my new job will MORE than makeup from the stress and chaos of wedding planning!

I dont realize how boring I am until I'm looking through my phones camera roll & find only pictures of kramer & random things!!

Speaking of, look how cute he is eating a pupcake I brought home from work
and some random, this cute church thats always open on our nighttime walk with Kramer.
Been busy at work, whats new! Wedding season is kicking my butt..I stay at the very least 1 hour past my scheduled time every day, if not more, because I just have so much work to do.  I check my work email very first thing when I wake up each morning & even do emails from home on my days off just to give me more time on working days to complete other tasks.  Here's a few of the cakes I designed for clients this past week

And heres a sketch I drew for a baby shower client, with the completed cake version below.
obviously the cake version looks much better, but you can see where this is going!  It's my job to pull out allllllllll the details from the client and you'd be surprised how many details people want put into a cake, and then how much they will spend for the cake!

Heres a picture of my work visitor, aka dunkin the 11 week old chocolate lab!  He makes my day so much better!
And incase you're wondering, yes that is the ocean there in the background.  Now that I work at the Newport Coast location, the view sure it pretty however the drive is not.  Takes an hour to get home....its brutal! But I make sure to eat balanced meals for lunch everyday I'm at work so I have more energy for the drive home ;)
Speaking of home, heres the most recent kitchen wall shot.  Going on 2 months since the pipe leaked and the kitchen got torn apart. At the 1 month and 1 week mark, we finally got the drywall put up.  The plumber told Magno he'd be back in 30 minutes with some more tools and stuff, and we haven't seen or heard from him in 2 weeks.  So this is what we are left with. Better than the hole in the wall, but obviously not acceptable whatsoever.
It really sucks when your landlord is lazy, and only hires his lazy cousin to fix the place, so nothing ever gets done.

Despite the ugly kitchen, I finally put up some frames around the TV.. that wall is so big and plain it needed something.

Magno painted his rims with a cool plastidip that peels right off when you want it to
We are so excited for s3 coming up this weekend!! too bad I have a 2 day wedding to coordinate that weekend which will take up most of my time, so hopefully I'm alive for the event sunday! This is my last wedding, maybe not FOREVER, but for a good long while.  I'm too busy at work to take on any more stress...so I'll be glad when this one is over:)

Well hello there!  It's been a while!  All I do these days is work!  Its SO busy at work because its wedding season & I've been working mostly full time.. I also got transferred to the newport coast location so I've been trying to get settled there.  Heres some of the cakes I've been working on the last couple weeks.
We have had some spare time to go crusing in the subie!  We got a few subie people together and took a drive up the infamous glendora mountain road aka mt baldy.  It was so much fun & nothing sounds better than a group of subies going through a tunnel...i'm becoming a subie dork just like magno!

Magno's been getting his car ready for the upcoming S3 event we've been waiting for!  Its June 23rd & so far we have a group of 35 subarus going.  The creator of s3 got word that Magno is organizing a caravan to the event, and they sent him some cool stuff as a thank you!

Fight nights have also been happening...this time around I tried out the 2 ingredient rolo ritz cookies & they were a huge hit...will definitely be a staple in the Jimenez house!
We finally saw great gatsby with magnos mom & brother.  He got the brilliant idea to video tape her as he showed her how fast his car can go.
Heres tomato looking cute & begging for food!
We went to long beach for lunch with my sister one day, it was a nice get away from the stress of wedding season at a wedding bakery!
I found my new favorite dessert...chocolate tart with fresh rasberries.  Easy to make but SO rich & delicious!

Magno got off work early on the same day that I had off, so we decided to go to Dland one last time before we get blacked out for the summer.
He was finally able to see world of color & we got the best view of the fireworks right as we were leaving.
